Matt Blackler

Blackler's practice often explores an absurd logic, developed with a relation to objects and processes commonly found in society, these are altered through labour intensive and outmoded techniques to serve a warped master-plan.

A Day At The Frontier - is an attempt to capture a snapshot of space at the Kármán line (100km from the surface) - the negotiated boundary between the Earth's atmosphere & space. The resulting 24hr exposure Photo-etchings of from various locations seem to suggest the attempt has been successful.
