Visiting events of no particular personal interest heightens the experience of voyeurism and makes this installation intriguing on several different levels. Peepshow, comprising two video installations, redefines the exposition of comical, and absurd behaviour by placing what to some, is quotidian, into a new context. Playing with perspective, Race identifies the overriding ritualistic elements within an event, presenting the viewer with glimpses that appear bizarre to the outside observer. On the evening of the private view, there was live music by the musician and composer to the music on the films’ soundtrack.
