21st Century One Man Band Tom Milnes ONE NIGHT ONLY LIVE PERFORMANCE, documentation currently on show at Unit 20, Westgate Centre, Oxford. Thursday 30th July. 6 -7 pm. In association with Modern Art Oxford's Yard Party Cornmarket, New Inn Hall, St.Ebbes, Oxford. Tom Milnes will be performing his musical piece 21st Century One Man Band, attracting spectators to follow him he will lead them between Modern Art Oxford’s yard party on St.Ebbes, Garden Images on George Street and Felix Thorn's installation in the Westgate Centre. Making the most of mobile technology Milnes takes electronica out of the studio and onto the streets creating music on the move using audio gadgets such as battery-powered synths, amps, laptops and iPods. Milnes’ peculiar time-travelling visual and audio spectacle, an updated version of the traditional one-man band, engaging audiences initially with the intriguing-technotastic Pied Piper that they happened across, and then with the other curious lo-fi, experimental fine art installations that they encounter within the party atmosphere that they step into on the 30th July – all welcome!
